
Today, we held the SkillsUSA officer inductions at the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center for both our morning and afternoon officers. Congratulations to these leaders!



Today in Culinary Arts, students whipped up a delicious Tomato Basil Bisque, bringing fresh flavors to the table!



Criminal Justice students have been sharpening their skills in baton techniques and mastering the proper use of force in hands-on training sessions!







Students in Mr. Casteel's class are building apps with the help of CGI professionals, Mr. Bruce Crowder, Ms. Beth Dalton, Mr. Gavin Lester, and Mr. Thomas Mittag. They are currently in the brainstorming/storyboarding phase of the process.









Early Childhood Education class spent their first day in their brand new classroom at the new EO building. They are excited to bring their personal touches to life in this space!





The first year Culinary students learn ten knife skills before advancing onto other things. This week they have learned and demonstrated the julienne, fine julienne, and the batonnet. In the next few days, we will complete the final seven knife skills.







Flu Vaccine Clinic: WCPS is scheduled to have flu vaccine clinics in schools October 8th, 10th and 11th. Be on the lookout for student registration forms being sent home.


School will dismiss three hours early today for an afternoon of fun at the Washington County Fair!


Trevor, a stylist from Pretty In A Minute, demonstrates lots of styling tools to students in Ms. Duncan's and Ms. Malone's Cosmetology classes. Students have the opportunity to use the tools and purchase them at a discount for their future careers.

WCCTEC Engineering 1/Robotics students built a robot system using specified criteria and constraints. They tested their designs, evaluated performance, and handled and collected data to explore ways to improve their designs.






Early Childhood Education class watched a TedTalk about what makes good teachers great. The students then wrote what they thought makes a good teacher great. They made the pop tarts to resemble a great teacher!
