4th Grade students from Mrs. Brooks' homeroom class learning to square dance to the song " Turkey in the Straw" during music class.




In Library class, 1st and 2nd graders read How to Catch a Turkey, about a school that wants a turkey to be part of their school play. Then students worked with different building materials in STEM stations to come up with their own ideas for how to catch a turkey. They all showed off their excellent creativity and problem solving skills!

Today, 4th grade students really showed off their stupendous, astounding knowledge of vocabulary with our very first WES Vocabulary Parade!







Second graders wrote about carving a pumpkin using sequencing words and also participated in a candy corn contest. It was based on the book “Candy Corn Contest.” Students had to guess the number of candy corn in a plastic container.

Fifth grade students have been studying electricity in science class. Using snap circuit kits, they created lights with on/off switches, a spinning fan, and sounding alarms. All of our students had so much fun with this activity!
