Fourth Graders Engineer Marshmallow Catapults Fourth-graders at RVES recently completed some hands-on learning by constructing marshmallow catapults. Guided by their teacher they made these mini-catapults by using everyday materials like popsicle sticks and rubber bands. After launching marshmallows, students measured the distances in customary units This exercise reinforced measurement skills and introduced them to good design features. Mrs. Parks praised her students' enthusiasm and emphasized how the project nurtured teamwork and a broader understanding of measurements. These young engineers are now well-prepared for exciting STEM adventures as they continue their school year.

We will be conducting a lockdown drill this week as part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and secure learning environment here at Rhea Valley. The purpose of this exercise is to practice the procedures that we would follow in the unlikely event of an emergency situation that requires us to secure the school premises. Preschool nor kindergarten will be participating in this drill. Thank you!
