Many of these students also assisted their neighbors and friends
throughout Washington County by giving numerous hours for the tornado
clean-up. Joining in the celebration was Mr. Bo Catron, the High
School Instructional Supervisor and Supervisor of WCCS; Mr. Chad
Wallace, principal of Abingdon High School; and Mr. Andrew Hockett,
assistant principal at AHS. Brenda Kendrick, AHS Guidance

celebration from AHS were Trina Gross, AHS guidance counselor; Connie
Boger, AHS senior guidance counselor; Glenna Holmes, administrative
assistant; Chelly Lilly, bookkeeper; and Linda Garnett, VHCC career

eligible for two awarded scholarships and further scholarship tuition
availability at Virginia Highlands Community College, based on their
