U.S. Marine Corp Veteran Guest Speaker

Nov 29, 2017

guest speaker with class U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and AHS Alum, Dickie Kiser, spoke to Mr. Farris' 20th Century American History class. This class covers U.S. history and is studied in a decade by decade approach. The class just finished studying the 1960's and 70's and Mr. Kiser spoke about his service in Vietnam, about growing up and life in the 60's and 70's, political culture, and shared memories of and paid tribute to some of his fallen AHS Alum that lost their life serving in Vietnam. He brought period memorabilia from the military to share and interacted with the students through questions and answers. We are truly grateful for the distinguished military service and presentation by Mr. Kiser which made the history lessons come to life through his pictures and stories.
